Cuttack boy Sahil Suman Bhuyan and Bhubaneswar girl Swetapadma Dalai bagged trebles by winning three titles each in the 13th KDTTA State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, held at Sahid Nagar Table Tennis Hall here from October 26 to 28, 2018.
Sahil won the three titles in youth, sub-junior and junior singles events, while Swetapadma emerged champion in cadet, sub-junior and junior singles categories. The men’s and women’s singles crowns were claimed by State No 1 Asif Haque of RBI and lesser-known Mayuri Chatterjee of Bhadrak respectively. Ayan Mustaque (Cuttack) won the title in cadet boys singles event.
The tournament was organised by Khurda District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA), under the aegis of Odisha State Table Tennis Association. Electrical Chief Engineer Suresh Chandra Moharana presented the trophies in the closing ceremony.
KDTTA secretary Smruti Ranjan Das, joint-secretary Sasanka Mohapatra, organising secretary Bijan Dasmohapatra, chief referee Tapan Kha, assistant referees Sujit Ray, KSN Murty, K Chinna and KVP Ramarao were were present on the occasion.

Men’s singles: Asif Haque (RBI) bt Bikash Kumar Singh (RSP) 4-2 (1-11, 11-5, 11-4, 11-7, 5-11, 11-9).
Women’s singles: Mayuri Chatterjee (Bhadrak) bt Samartha Prusty (Bhubaneswar) 4-2 (11-4, 19-17, 12-10, 10-12, 11-13, 11-9).
Youth boys singles: Sahil Suman Bhuyan (Cuttack) bt Arya Sankar Mahaprasastha 4-1 (11-4, 11-9, 3-11, 11-9, 11-3).
Cadet boys singles: Ayan Mustaque (Cuttack) bt Archit Behera (Bhubaneswar) 3-1 (11-7, 11-6, 11-13, 11-6).
Cadet girls singles: Swetapadma Dalai (Bhubaneswar) bt Swastika Adabar (Cuttack) 3-0 (11-3, 11-5, 11-7).
Sub-junior girls singles: Swetapadma Dalai bt Sushree Patnaik (Khurda) 4-0 (11-9, 11-6, 12-1, 13-11).
Sub-junior boys singles: Sahil Suman Bhuyan bt Dwarikanath Swain (Khurda) 4-1 (8-11, 14-12, 11-4, 11-4, 11-6).
Junior girls singles: Swetapadma Dalai bt Sushree Patnaik 4-2 (5-11, 11-4, 11-4, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8).
Junior boys singles: Sahil Suman Bhuyan bt Abinash Tripathy (Khurda) 4-0 (11-9, 11-9, 11-7, 12-10.

60+ Veteran singles: Rabindra Kumar Sahooo (Khurda) bt Bijan Dasmohapatra (Khurda) 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-6).
Veteran doubles: PK Samantray-Smruti Ranjan Das (Khurda) bt Debasis Gope-Lingaraj Bhanja (Nalco) 3-0 (11-9, 11-8, 11-9).
Corporate men’s singles: Anirban Ray (Infosys) bt Subhabrata Khan (HPCL) 3-2 (8-11, 6-11, 12-10, 11-9, 12-10).
